Coming out of Lost Maples, we had some gradual downhills towards Vanderpool. We stopped at a general store that was at the intersection where we needed to turn. A few minutes later this couple pulls up on bikes. They had rear bags and were out doing a four day loop. Matt and Annie were so into our gear and bikes and just very energetic. It was great. They also told us about all the climbing that was in store for us today. They were right. We had some pretty big climbs, and some nice downhills. One climb was pretty much up and over a mt. Another one was a long gradual climb that snaked around the mt. Anyway, we ended up in Montell, where a lady on warmshowers gave us permission to camp on her lawn.
